What is site conversion?

Site conversion is the ratio of the number of unique site visitors to the targeted actions taken by them on the site: subscription, purchase of goods or services, registration, feedback, etc. Conversion is actively used in online marketing to track dynamics in the process of driving and site promotion. The essence of site conversion is to turn visitors into real customers.

There are two main types of site conversion:

  • Macro conversions - a user takes a targeted action that directly affects the company's profit.
  • Microconversions - the user performs various actions on the site that do not yet bring profit.

Special tools are used to analyze the conversion rate, for example Google Analytics, which provide up-to-date information on the achievement of set goals. To improve site conversion, it is important to analyze data, conduct testing, optimize and update the content of the resource, and monitor the reaction of visitors to changes.
